Eliza’s research interests are mainly focused on issues related to states' mass surveillance activities in cyberspace and their impact on human rights, in particular the right to privacy and freedom of expression.
The areas that are related to her project include political theory, Internet governance, sovereignty, jurisdiction, globalisation and rules/norms formation under international law. Her research builds on, inter alia, the works of Carl Schmitt, Giorgio Agamben and James Martel.
Eliza completed her doctoral research in International Cyber Security Law at the University of Westminster School of Law.
