By way of critical legal education at Birkbeck, and political education in grassroots activism, Simon has ended up a constitutional theorist, interested in a constitutional approach (broadly defined) to the intersections of prefiguration, hegemony, post-marxism and non-state actors such as movements, parties and (especially municipalist) movement-parties. In short, how constitutional theory can inform radical political strategy (and vice versa).
