Tallyn’s research draws on a wide selection of theoretical and methodological approaches, from the humanities and social sciences (socio-legal studies, international relations, religious studies, history, sociology, and anthropology) to scrutinise the Human Rights and Transitional Justice praxes.
His focus is on how conceptions of justice and transition in non-western intellectual traditions (in East and Southeast Asia) view 'global' and western dominated discourses, mechanisms and institutions of Transitional Justice and Human Rights.
Tallyn is a Fellow at the Westminster Law & Theory Lab.
